Meet Bethany

Bethany is a board certified Acupuncturist in the Chinese and Japanese styles and Chinese Herbalist. She is a 200 hour certified yoga instructor currently working toward 500 hour advanced certification and has been teaching privately and in studios since 2001. She has studied and practiced Meditation in India, Japan, and the U.S. since 1999 and incorporates these mindfulness based practices in her work.

In 2006, as part of the Pan African Acupuncture Project, she traveled to Uganda to help train medical practitioners in acupuncture techniques that are effective for treating symptoms of Malaria, HIV, and AIDS.

She received her undergraduate degree at Smith College, where she studied Philosophy, Dance, and Religious traditions. She also served as an Emergency Medical Technician.

As a practitioner and patient, she personally found the use of acupuncture to be very helpful in addressing all of these systems. As a patient, acupuncture has helped her overcome environmental allergies, various pain issues, and overall stress reduction.  As a practitioner, she has enjoyed seeing countless patients benefit from acupuncture from the level of the body, the mind, the emotions, and entire being.

From a young age, yoga has helped Bethany find greater freedom and balance in her life. By deepening her knowledge and practice of yoga, she has overcome various injuries and found the practice to bring peace of mind, body, and heart.  She enjoys helping others find this in themselves and sharing the invaluable gift of these practices that others have given her.

She lives in Madison, WI with her Husband Matt, son Caden, and their Dog Kaalu.
