Yoga

Yoga is a sanskrit word that literally means “to yoke” or “union” and is often translated as “union with the divine.” Yoga is the physical, mental and spiritual practice which originated in ancient India with a view to attain ultimate peace and freedom. It has been found effective in treating a wide array of physical, mental and emotional conditions such as:

Chronic Pain, Arthritis, Anxiety & Depression, Diabetes, Cardiovascular Disease, IBS, Asthma, Prenatal Health, Menopause and Diabetes.

At Pathways to Wellness Center, yoga is utilized as a primary or adjunct treatment to find greater ease and alignment in yourself. Bethany is a certified Yoga instructor and has taught privately and in studios since 2001 and focuses on helping you find correct alignment in the body and breath, and find a greater sense of peace in the entire being. She has studied primarly in the Iyengar style, with such notable teachers as Eileen Muir, Rodney Yee, and Chris Saudek. In addition to incorporating Yoga Therapy into her treatment practice, various classes and workshops are offered at the center.
